2PL OPERATIONS - AGENT

Based in Maastricht (NL)

Job Description:

Under the responsibility of the (2PL) Operations Manager,  the 2PL Operations agent is responsible for the best usage of our exclusive fleet network (+/- 600 vehicles available on daily basis). He,/she is controlling completely the exclusive dispatching process and the organization of the day to day road business for all the vehicles available, always balancing high quality service with optimal line haul and best split of km between all vehicles.

Over the years he/she should acquire and develop a background in transportation and experience in dispatching, while finding the best and suitable transportation solution for the customer within a short timeframe. He/she will organize and control transportation cost solutions within objectives and maintain high-quality standards. 

His/her job will require good communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work in a team in a high pressure environment and quickly exercise sound judgment. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Selects and offers the most optimal solution and best possible service to shippers (bidding process)

• Responsible for the correct assignment process (Exclusive part), while always keeping the shipper’s request in the back of their mind.

• Guarantees the quality standard services towards shippers and correct instructions towards exclusive carriers.

• Collaborate with Dispatch Center Middle Office to ensure customers satisfaction and achievement of km turnover & cost optimization.

• Collaborate with 247 CC / Fleet Management to ensure shippers satisfaction and achievement of km turnover & cost optimization.

• Recognizes market trends and translates towards planning improvements as repositioning of vehicles, including flyin and flyout management. 

• Sustain the coloading strategy by recognizing opportunities and giving support to the Optimization stakeholders.

• Manage customs process where applicable.   

• Takes ownership of operational issues (exclusives related) & follows-up problems through to resolution.

• Approve & validate pricing to customers and reimbursed costs to carriers.

• Handle daily issues such as complaints, delays, non-conformity, pricing issues & 2PL tool corrections.

• Cooperate with the 2PL Operations Team Leaders in the resolution of service failure & shippers complaints.

• Be the link between Operations team and administrative departments in order to guarantee a smooth invoicing process for the suppliers.

• Suggest IT improvement input with support and testing where necessary.

Language skills:

• Native : French or Italian or Polish or Romanian 

• Fluency in English

Shift coverage:

• From Monday to Friday

• Shifts from 07h00 to 20h00 (08 hrs in between)
